Prostate Cancer Kills. According to the American Cancer Association, over 192,000 men with prostate cancer are diagnosed each year. About 27,000 people die from this cancer each year. Prostate cancer is the second most lethal cancer among men only by lung cancer. This disease will kill about a man in every thirty-five.

There are several factors that increase the likelihood of developing prostate cancer. One is a variant of a gene, such as COX-2 gene known. Men who have this gene are more likely to develop prostate cancer.
Other factors that have the possibility of developing prostate cancer, obesity, smoking and diet. It has been shown that men consume, which are little or no omega-3 fatty acids in the diet tend to develop the disease.
Surveys of men who have analyzed the eating habits showed that those who consumed more omega 3 fatty acids in their diet not more likely to develop prostate cancer. Men who consumed oily fish dark one to three times per month had a 36 percent chance of no more cancer. This statistic increased to 57 percent, where people ate fish less than once a week.
